Bring the benefits of Opportunity Corps to your organization

Too many Minnesotans can’t make ends meet. Opportunity Corps needs people to help bridge the employment gap. This service year, Opportunity Navigators will be working with participants at sites around the Twin Cities Metro. With demonstrated successes in helping participants gain employment and reach their goals, our program can provide the extra support your participants need to succeed.

Site Benefits

Improved Capacity

Navigators extend capacity at your site by providing customized, one-to-one services that help participants identify and reach their career goals.

Improved Outcomes

Independent research confirms that participants who receive services from an Opportunity Navigator show increases in job search skills, self-efficacy, and overcoming barriers to employment.

Cost Effective

Minnesota Opportunity Corps is funded through AmeriCorps and sites pay a modest site fee to host a full-time, fully trained navigator at their site.

Career Coach Pipeline

Throughout their service year, members are trained in the nationally-recognized Global Career Development Facilitator curriculum, providing them with the skills they need to enter into the human services field after their service term ends.

“They [the Opportunity Corps members] have become essential. They interact 1:1 daily with the clients/students, and help with employment-related tasks, along with life issues. They lead by example, being kind, honest, and workers, devoted, patient and helpful. They find our clients/students employment, as well as teach them employment-related skills. They are valued and indispensable.”
