Become an Opportunity Corps Member
Minnesota Opportunity Corps is an 11-month program designed to assist individuals with barriers to economic self-sufficiency in the Twin Cities. AmeriCorps Members, serving as Opportunity Navigators, support economically-disadvantaged adults in accessing resources and build the skills needed to navigate employment and/or the education needed to achieve economic stability.
Opportunity Corps was piloted in 2011 with 15 partner organizations with focus in four service areas. In order to maximize resources, the program shifted its goals after it became clear there was significant need in the area of employment and training. This year, we hope to place 30 navigators in employment and training-focused community-based organizations.
We need people who care. We need people with time to invest in the future of others. Minnesota Opportunity Corps is now accepting applications for full-time positions. As an Opportunity Navigator you will help people reach their career goals to bridge the employment gap in Minnesota.
